Other blogs you enjoy?
I could pick quite a few blogs i really enjoy but, here’s just a few:
Fancy Pants (www.fancypantstheblog.com)
I think it’s really hard to narrow it down. There’s so many different blogs I really like, all for different reasons.
Who inspires you and why?
The Olsen Twins; They’ve come from being childhood TV stars to fashion icons and designers. Their collections are so appealing and they really have worked hard on what they love. I’d say Alexa Chung and Ellie Goulding inspire me too, when it comes to style and clothing. I love their boyish ensembles and unique style.
Also, Raf Simons is one of my favorite fashion designers, and if my work becomes anywhere near as good as his, I would be extremely happy. You really should take a look at his work (www.rafsimons.com) (image is Raf Simons backstage)
If you could go back in time, where would you go?
I’d love to go back and really get a chance to know my grandad. He died when I was young, so I’ve never had the opportunity to know him properly.
Best vintage/second hand item ever bought?
My £20 Dr Martens that I got from Ebay. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture, but they were such bargain! I recently wore them to reading festival and my feet felt indestructible, yet they’re so comfortable.
Orange or Burgundy?
Burgundy. It’s such a simple, impeccable colour that you can wear any time of year. It’s not too bright. Orange is a little daring for me!
90s Grunge or 70s Hippie?
90’s grunge every time. Don’t get me wrong, I really love the 70’s but being born in the 90s, that will always be my era. Grunge is such a classic look and anyone can pull it off. You have to be daring to wear the hippie look!
London or Paris?
I’m heartbroken between both. London is definitely one of my favourite cities I’ve ever been to. It’s just so different to the rest of the UK, I love it. I haven’t been to Paris since I was about 13/14? and at that time I didn’t really get to experience the true fashion capital it is. On that note, I’m going to have to say London.
Macarons or cupcakes?
I’ve never tried macaroons, so cupcakes! I love cake
Stripes or Tartan?
In all honestly, both. Striped shirts, tartan/check trousers and vice versa. They’re both really versatile!
Hats or shoes?
Shoes shoes and more shoes. Working in a shoe shop really doesn’t help this either. I get paid monthly and I end up just putting it all back into the till. I’m always seeing new shoes I want to buy. It’s a vicious cycle and my bank account hates me for it.
Trend or vintage?
I love vintage items, when they’re reasonably priced but I don’t tend to follow ‘trends.’ When choosing an outfit, I try to look at the weather and think of comfort. I’m not answering this question too well, but, I’ll go for a balance of the two.
September or April?
September. Other than going back to university and actually having to do lots of work, I always look forward to autumn/winter. I love layering, and it’s not so easy to layer when the weather gradually starts to get warmer in April.
